The Madrid Architecture Week returns with interesting news.

Between September 30 and October 7, the XVI Madrid Architecture Week 2019 will take place. One of the most important events in the sector. This edition is a special celebration, since it coincides with the 100 years of the Architecture Magazine and the 90 years of the Official College of Architects of Madrid.

Visitors can enjoy debates, exhibitions, courses and architectural itineraries among other interesting activities. This year, the Architecture Week has a novelty, it’s about REPENSAR MADRID. There will be five topics to be discussed in this session: Architecture, Urbanism, Crisis, Housing and Environment Magazine. Rethink Madrid, will continue throughout the next year to reflect on the future of our capital and in it will participate key players in Madrid’s professional and cultural life.

It will have 71 buildings, 30 routes and 6 interesting children’s itineraries. In this meeting, there will be plenty of places already in the Week of Architecture such as the Fernando Higueras Institute of Cultural Heritage, the La Vela de BBVA building by Herzog & de Meuron, the Maravillas Gymnasium by Alejandro de la Sota and the Bank of Spain .

Other places that can be visited are the Madrid Stock Exchange, the Arab House, the Velázquez House, the Huarte House, the COAM, the Army War School, the Beti-Jai Fronton, the Francisco Giner de los Ríos Foundation, the Palace de Buenavista, the Zurbano Palace, the Royal National Academy of Medicine, the headquarters of the SGAE or the Student Residence.

With this XVI edition of the Architecture Week, the main objective of COAM is to bring architecture closer to society and to value the architectural heritage of Madrid.
